What is Foot Zoning?

What is Foot Zoning?

Foot zoning is a noninvasive, holistic technique that activates our normal line of health.  It works by triggering signals in the feet that correspond to every part of our body “switching on” the entire blueprint down to the cellular level.  This blueprint, once activated, sends healing information in the form of electromagnetic impulses throughout the entire body bringing physical, mental, and emotional energies back to optimum health.  It is a form of acupressure for all systems in the body to be addressed in a single foot zone session.

Using a detailed map of the feet, a trained foot zone practitioner can access the body through triggering signals on the feet to restore balance or homeostasis.  Just like the keyboard on your computer, the feet are the keyboard that access the brain and systems of your body.  Like a computer, sometimes we start slowing down, or throwing out error codes in the form of symptoms, or just not working at peak capacity.  When this happens, we hit those certain keys on the keyboard that sends out a message to the hard drive basically telling it to “get back to working the way it was programmed to work.”

We “reboot” the computer.  As a foot zone practitioner, I know what signals to trigger on the foot to  “reboot” or balance the body, creating an ideal environment for the body to heal

Triggering these signals also help to balance your nervous system and stimulate the release of endorphins to reduce pain and stress. Have you ever had a foot massage after a long day of work? Foot manipulation is fantastic and relaxes your total body. This manipulation is the same premise in foot zoning, but the foot zone technique is so much more.

What can I expect during a Foot Zone?

This is your time and my goal is to provide a relaxing and stress-free foot zone experience.  With every foot zone, I include a complimentary 20-minute session with infrared/near-infra-red harmonic lights.  This is a medical-grade system that helps the body to further relax by providing harmonic frequencies of light that help support the body’s shift in the nervous system into a peaceful relaxed state.
I use the Gemi-Stone technique in my Foot Zone sessions.
I use the Wellness  Life Zone Academy’s Gemi-Stone technique for the foot zone.  These gemstone tools provide a stronger triggering of signals for both me as a practitioner and my client.
In my Kalispell office, you will have your choice of sitting in a zero gravity chair or lying on a massage table.  The lights will be lowered, the red light pads placed,  warm towels will wrap your feet, and soft music played as you start to relax.  The actual zone will take approximately 45-60 minutes.  When the foot zone is concluded I will then provide an Aromatouch foot application of essential oils using warmed massage rocks.  Most people feel very relaxed and a great release from stress.  Some people even fall asleep during the zone.  The effects of a foot zone can last up to ten days afterward.  I advise my clients to increase their water intake after a foot zone.

What is Harmonic Light Therapy?

I use a medical-grade harmonic light system in my practice. This system has been cleared by the FDA for pain relief and increased circulation. Healthy red/near-infrared light is pulsed to the body in a harmonic frequency that the body recognizes. This light helps shift the nervous system to a relaxed state. When our body is in this state of relaxation, it is better able to properly rest, digest, and heal itself. Studies have shown that Blue light is cleansing and calming.

Studies show that Red light increases energy production, enhances circulation, oxygenation, detoxification, and cellular regeneration while lowering inflammation in the soft tissues of the body. Near-infrared is shown in studies to relieve pain, improve circulation, lower inflammation, increases cellular energy, regeneration, and detoxification. This spectrum of light can travel deep into the hard tissues of the body.

A History of Foot Zoning

Some form of foot zone therapy has been used throughout history and can trace its roots back thousands of years. Early civilizations of Egypt, India, and China used the feet to enhance the healing powers of the body.  In North America even Native American stone drawings show a tradition of healing through the foot zone technique.

Today, we attribute the modern development of Foot Zone Therapy and the techniques used to Dr. Charles Ersdal, from Norway.  Over 20 years of his research and experience convinced him that the body must be treated as a whole to get the full benefit of a foot zone.

His consensus found that Foot Zone Therapy is an electromagnetic system that does not treat the body symptomatically, but holistically.  By following a precise mapping of the feet on every client with pressing, rubbing, squeezing, and manipulating the surface and specific areas of the foot, trapped energy is released and allowed to flow freely.  This unobstructed energy flowing from a foot zone is what produces a healthy body.
